We've been going to Kona, Hawaii for 30+ years and have yet to see everything that is there. Each year we find new places and activities, but are limited by time to always add to our favorites of past years, so we have to pick and choose.


National Parks

• Pu' uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park - The City of Refuge. Located on 180 acres that has two major areas: original palace grounds and the Place of Refuge. Beautiful historical park that provides a great place to tour, as well as a great picnic grounds and hiking trails.
• Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park - Visit a 'Aimakapa fishpond, picnic grounds, and hiking trails.
